It can’t be said enough!
Although you’re on stage and in the spotlight, the audience is the most important aspect of your speech. A good speaker takes time to learn the demographics of his/her audience. Doing an audience analysis–their beliefs, attitudes, age, education level, language, and culture– is the best way to create a link with your audience. Before you speak consider the full nature and make up of your audience so that it is well received and you might get asked back a second time.
The worst case scenario: out of sight, out mind. Your audience may forget you before you leave the building.
Strategically considering your target populace will bring you the success you’re looking for as a public speaker.
